Troika launches EVO platform for high-speed anilox inspection

The next-generation 3D scanning microscope delivers faster measurement, improved stability, and pressroom-ready performance.

Troika Systems Ltd has introduced the Troika EVO, a next-generation 3D scanning microscope platform designed for high-precision inspection and measurement of anilox rolls, gravure cylinders and flexographic plates.

Built to bring quality control closer to production, the EVO platform features a redesigned motor drive system that delivers scanning speeds up to 70% faster than previous-generation systems. The upgrade is aimed at eliminating bottlenecks between cleaning, inspection and live pressroom operations, enabling faster decision-making and reduced downtime.

Among its key advancements, the system incorporates a 2.3MP imaging sensor (1920 x 1200 resolution) for enhanced image clarity, allowing operators to better identify surface wear, damage and complex cell structures. The platform is also engineered for stable, repeatable measurements in environments with vibration, removing the need for dedicated anti-vibration tables and making it suitable for use directly on the production floor.

Connectivity has also been enhanced, with USB-C and USB 3.1 support enabling faster data transfer and more flexible deployment across multiple pressrooms and sites. All measurement data integrates automatically with the Troika Management System (TMS), supporting asset tracking, condition monitoring and audit trail documentation across operations.
